There's no ice on the lake yet. We'll build out this page this winter, with ice coverage near the Bass Islands and western basin as the season sets up.
No ice is ever guaranteed safe. Lake Erie ice can shift, crack and break off with wind. We won't post ice thickness or "safe ice" calls unless they come from a named, dated source.
